Sourceflow came to Kitto with a clear ambition but a resource gap. As a fast-growing recruitment technology business, they needed a marketing partner who could stretch across multiple channels at once: events, content, social and email. Their in-house team was lean, and a single marketing hire could not have covered the breadth of skills the role demanded.

We embedded as an extension of the Sourceflow marketing function. After a strong first 12 months, Sourceflow expanded the scope of the partnership, bringing Kitto further into their quarterly events programme and playbook campaigns as confidence in the relationship grew.

During the partnership, Sourceflow achieved three consecutive record-breaking quarters for lead generation, a result Will Astbury attributes significantly to Kitto's contribution.

Inbound becomes top-performing acquisition channel

Inbound became Sourceflow's top-performing source of won deals. Significant jumps in user acquisition and website sessions were driven across web, social and email, the channels Kitto directly influenced. Also, Kitto became heavily involved in the planning and execution of Sourceflow’s ‘From The Source’ events, which led to an increase in inbound leads.

Sourceflow accessed videography, design, copywriting and social media management through one agency relationship, at comparable cost to a single in-house hire.

Breadth of skill, dialled up on demand

Sourceflow needed more than execution. They needed to turn the dials, pulling in videography one quarter, leaning on copywriting and design the next, then pushing hard on social during an event window. A single in-house hire cannot flex that way. Kitto could. That flexibility, applied consistently across a busy annual programme, is what made the difference.

Built in from the outset

Events, playbooks, content, campaigns — done

Sourceflow runs an event every quarter and launches a playbook every quarter. Kitto took on the full promotional campaign for each event and produced the content for each playbook, speaking to contributors, building assets and driving the campaign from brief to distribution.

On the social and web side, the impact was clear: big lifts in user acquisition and sessions across every channel Kitto touched. Playbooks and events may sit at the top of the funnel, but they are core touchpoints that feed the pipeline.

What's Next

Lead-in: More events, bigger playbooks, expanded partnership.

Eighteen months in, Sourceflow has expanded what they use Kitto for. The first year went well enough that scaling the relationship was an easy decision.
